Deceptive Promises & Endless Delays: My Online Glasses Nightmare! 😤
Let me tell you about my terrible online shopping experience, hoping it serves as a cautionary tale. I recently placed an order, planning for a trip, thinking weeks would be plenty of time. But I was so wrong! Frustrating is the word to describe this company - dishonest would be another. They claim 6 days to produce the glasses - has anyone really had them make good on this? Their customer service bot is worthless and I doubt there is any HUMAN reps. I ordered for a trip thinking no problem it will take a few weeks - that has come and gone and no date in sight. I'm pretty disappointed that they mislead on how long it actually takes, probably shipped from China. My trip passed, no glasses. The deceptive promises compelled me to leave this review and reach customer service, desperate for answers.
Customer: "Hello? I'm calling about my order, #XXXXX. I placed it weeks ago for a trip that has now passed, and I still haven't received my glasses. Your website claimed 6 days, but I feel completely misled." CS Rep: "I'm so sorry to hear about the delay with your order, #XXXXX, and how frustrating this has been, especially with your trip. I understand your disappointment regarding the production time. Let me pull up your details." Customer: "Thank you. The tracking hasn't updated in ages, and your online bot was useless. I just need to know where my glasses are and when I can actually expect them." CS Rep: "I apologize for the difficulties with our bot and the lack of updates. Your order is still in production, which is much longer than expected, and I sincerely apologize. It appears there's a delay with a specific lens coating. I can offer a partial refund, and I'll personally escalate this to get a definitive shipping date for you within 24 hours. Would you like me to do that?" Customer: "A partial refund sounds fair, but I just want my glasses. Yes, please escalate it and get me a real shipping date. I just want some transparency." CS Rep: "Absolutely. I'll process that refund and send you an email within 24 hours with an updated, confirmed shipping date. Thank you for your patience."
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of deceptive delivery promises.
